Beach Profiles

Group 1:
This profile was taken furthest away from the mangroves. It clearly shows that in incline of the beach is fairly high. There is a bigger incline at the top of the beach compared to the shore. Vegetation in this profile is found only at the top of the beach mostly containing trees and partically sticks & leaves.

Group 2:
Compared to group one's profile, the beach incline is not as consistant. There is a slight decrease of the incline from the shore up. Unlike group one's the beach then flattens out although having a few bumps it then continues to increase to the top. The only vegetation found is right at the top of the beach with grass only to be found.

Group 3:
Group three's profile is very similar to group two's. It's generally the same, increasing from the shore up. it as well flattens at a point but what differs it from group two's is the fact that it stays relatively flat even decreasing slightly before flttened out once more all the way to the top of the beach. There is also a lot more vegetation found, this including those of rubbish & grass.

Group 4:
Identical to group 3's, group 4 has the same structure and items found with an added find of cigarettes in the dunes above the beach. The only slight difference that can be found is the shorter flat distance at the top of the beach. Unlike group 3, group 4 has a shorter dune at the top of the beach.

Group 5:
In this profile, around the middle of the beach we can see that the increase of the beach slope is not as extreme as previous ones. There is now a distinctive flat area, just behind the highest peak of the beach. There is no annotations of whether there are signs of litter of vegetation written on the profile, that can be seen in our litter data. The slope isnt as long as the pervious profiles, suggesting that the beach is loosing a lot of sand as we go along the beach.

Group 6:
In this profile we can clearly see that the shape of the beach, compared to the first profile has changed completely. In this profile the shape of the beach appears to be more curved and has a smoother round to it. Although not a gentle rising slope, the slope rises high and gently curves to a flat area. Vegetation in this profile shows that there is a lot of it, proving there is less sand as we get closer to the mangroves. There are signs of litter scattered among the vegetation as well.

Group 7:
Vegetation has increased in this profile as we are now seeing signs of trees in the area. This profile seems to be getting close to a recreational area as there are parked cars along thr top of the beach. The incline of the beach is a lot gentler from the shore up than those of pervious profiles but around the middle of the beach there is a high increase of the beach incline.

Group 8:
There is man made sturctures determined in this profile, showing signs that there are obvious signs of human interaction as we are getting closer to the recreation area. In the pervious profile, the shape of the beach is similar to this one, the only difference is that this one is more exxagerated in it's shaping. having a higher peak and an even bigger drop past/behind the peak. Vegetation can only be found at the top of the beach, but there is a lot of it.

Group 9:
The incline of the beach dramatically changes as we move from profile 8 to 9. The incline is constantly getting higher as we go up the beach, causing the beach to be very steep. There is minimal area of sand as a large amount of the area is covered in vegetation. There are still cars to be seen in this area of the beach. High amounts of litter can be found all up and along this area of the beach, this may be due to the fact that human interaction is common here.
